Reception pupils enjoy underwater adventure

Reception pupils from Haywood Village Academy had a fantastic visit to Bristol Aquarium this week, enjoying an exciting day of discovery and learning beneath the waves.
Located on Bristol’s historic Harbourside, Bristol Aquarium features more than 40 naturally themed displays, a giant botanical house, and an impressive underwater tunnel. The attraction is home to thousands of aquatic creatures, ranging from native UK marine life to exotic tropical species from around the world.
During their visit, pupils were fascinated by the aquarium’s many highlights, including tropical sharks, rays, seahorses, colourful fish and the UK’s only giant botanical house filled with exotic plants. The underwater tunnel proved particularly popular, giving children the chance to see marine life swimming all around them.
A spokesperson for the academy said: “Our Reception pupils had a wonderful time exploring Bristol Aquarium and learning about the amazing creatures that live beneath the sea.
“The visit brought their classroom learning to life and sparked lots of curiosity and excitement. It was fantastic to see the children so engaged and asking thoughtful questions throughout the day.”
