Haywood Village steps up for Diabetes UK

What an amazing day! Haywood Village Academy’s whole school community came together to take part in a sponsored walk from the academy to the Wetlands and back, raising awareness for Diabetes UK.
Pupils, staff and supporters embraced the event with enthusiasm, determination and a fantastic sense of community spirit, highlighting the importance of supporting those affected by diabetes while promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
The academy is incredibly proud of every pupil who took part, demonstrating resilience, kindness and teamwork throughout the walk. Together, the school community has taken meaningful steps towards raising awareness and making a positive difference.
A spokesperson said: “We are incredibly proud of our pupils for the enthusiasm, determination and compassion they showed during our Diabetes UK awareness walk.
“It was wonderful to see our whole school community come together to support such an important cause.
