Haywood Village comes together to support local families

Haywood Village Academy has been overwhelmed by the generosity of its school community following a successful non-uniform day organised to collect donations for the school foodbank.

The response from families was incredible, with donations including a wide range of essential items, such as tinned goods, pasta, breakfast cereals, toiletries and much more.

The generous contributions will help support local families and make a real difference to those who need it most.

School leaders offered a huge thank you to all Haywood Village Academy families for their kindness and support, and to the Haywood Village Academy Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) for organising the event.

Della Hall, Vice Principal at Haywood Village Academy, said: “We are absolutely blown away by the kindness and generosity shown by our school community.

“It is wonderful to see our families coming together to support others, and we are incredibly grateful for every donation received. The response has been truly heartwarming, and these contributions will make a meaningful difference to local families.

“Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this event such a success.”
