‘Dedication, positive attitude and commitment’ have earned a prestigious business award for Learning Partner Emily Plumley after a highly successful 18-month placement at Haywood Village Academy.
During this time, Emily has made a valuable contribution to the school community, supporting pupils both as a Supervisory Midday Support Assistant (SMSA) and as a Learning Partner.
With the dedicated support of her job coach and the wider staff team, Emily has shown remarkable growth in confidence and independence, becoming a highly valued member of our academy.
We are especially proud to announce that Emily was nominated for the prestigious Weston College Business Awards into Work Partnership Award. Out of 47 nominees, Emily was shortlisted as one of just three finalists and went on to win the award.
Emily, alongside representatives from Haywood Village Academy, attended the awards evening where she was presented with her award by Pat Jones, Principal and Chief Executive of Weston College Group, and Lord-Lieutenant Mohammed Saddiq.
School leaders described the award as ‘a fantastic and well-deserved achievement’ and spoke of their pride at Emily’s hard work, determination and success.
Della Hall, Vice Principal, said: “Emily has been an absolute pleasure to have as part of our academy team.
“Over the past 18 months, we have seen her confidence, skills and independence flourish, and she has made a genuine difference to the lives of our pupils and staff.
“Winning this award is a wonderful recognition of her dedication, positive attitude and commitment. We are incredibly proud of everything Emily has achieved and look forward to seeing her continued success in the future.”
