Haywood pupils take on outdoor adventures

Year 6 pupils from Haywood Village Academy enjoyed a fantastic four-day residential at Barton Hall, an outdoor adventure and school residential centre in Devon.

From abseiling and ziplining to climbing, team-building challenges and even fencing, pupils embraced every opportunity with courage, resilience and enthusiasm.

The experience encouraged them to step outside their comfort zones, support one another and develop confidence while trying new activities.

A spokesperson for Haywood Village Academy said: “We are incredibly proud of the way our Year 6 pupils approached their residential.

“They challenged themselves, showed great determination and encouraged one another throughout the four days. Experiences like this are so valuable, helping children to build confidence, strengthen friendships and develop important life skills.

“We hope they return to school with wonderful memories that they will treasure for years to come.”
