On Tuesday 9th June, Year 6 children will take part in an exciting immersive history day called “Portals to the Past.”

During the day, the children will explore life in the Stone Age through to the Iron Age using a range of engaging and hands-on activities. They will begin by learning about survival in the Stone Age, including a fun team challenge, before moving on to discover how life changed over time.

Throughout the day, the children will take part in activities such as a Stone Age quiz, artefact handling, and exploring how early people lived and worked together. In the afternoon, they will focus on later periods, including working as a team to recreate the building of Stonehenge and learning about Bronze and Iron Age life.
